How to reconnect power

Your property can be reconnected to our network if it was previously switched off. If you’re moving into an existing property that has a power connection already, i.e. there’s a meter, you need to sign up with an electricity retailer - they'll take care of everything.

Power been off for more than six months?
If the power's been off at the property for more than six months, for everyone's safety, we'll need to see a Certificate of Compliance and you'll need to do things differently. If you're unsure how long power's been off, give us a call on 0800 367 546 and our team can check.
